*Names in this story have been changed as to avoid absolute embarkment, seriously it's bad enough I'm even writing this on the internet.
I believe it was January that was Stalker Awareness Month. The sign was outside the women's center and it contained phrases along the lines of:
It is not cute.
It is not romantic.
It is not okay.
I had to stand there, no doubt with guilt all over my face.
Hello, my name is Brieanna Ramthun and I am a stalker.
I am not alone in practice, I have an accomplice, her name is Jena Mueller.
Not just what society has deemed the socially acceptable Facebook stalker. We have risen above and beyond the call of duty. Now we want you to please keep in mind, we never planned to harm the people we stalked. We didn't want to use the information for evil, or any other types of misuse.
Below is the (abridged) version of how we became a person who even frightened our parents.
No, we have never spoken to them, ever.
No, we have never spoken to any of their friends.
No, we have never had a class with them.
When we first noticed him at the start of the year we actually loathed them. W thought he dressed stupid. Once you notice a person you happen to see them everywhere, and that is how it started. We would curse their (made up) nickname with hatred. One day, out of the blue we realized we were thinking of him in a not so hostile way. I even would say, we had a crush on him.
Crushes on strangers come and go so I expected it to be short lived, but we were curious.
We were curious about this person and just wanted to see if we had anything in common. It was the first months of college, I had hope that maybe I could become the outgoing person I always knew I was and maybe, just maybe, something could happen.
Surprise, we had a ton in common according to his Facebook. How did we even find out his name you may ask? Well luckily I was blessed with a suit mate who is a social butterfly. She was talking with a friend and he introduced him to another boy. We shall call that boy... *Dylan. Dylan was not the boy I was in love with, but he seemed to stick in Jena's mind. My suit mate was introduced to Dylan and we just so happen to notice that Dylan was around my crush quite a lot.
All we had to do was type in Dylan into Facebook and add the education filter. His profile picture was clear and easily recognizable. Dylan's profile wasn't private in any sense of the word, so I took a look through his pictures. Surprise, surprise Dylan and my crush were good enough friends that they were in a picture together. I found out his name was... *Jack.
Be honest, once you know a persons name it's quite hard to forget. I feel like that will be a repeating theme within this story.
Once you just so happen to find something out, it's very hard to just unknow it.
